FairSide is a small independent project built and run by one person in the UK. This page explains, in plain English, what data it keeps and why. The short version: only what's needed to run the app, nothing is sold, and there are no ads.
What we store
- Your account. Sign-in is handled by Clerk. We keep your email address and a Clerk user ID so your games are tied to you.
- What you create. Players, ratings, saved games, team results and share links you make. Player names are whatever you type in, so you choose how much to share.
- Share links. Anyone with a share link can see that match page until you revoke it.
Analytics and feedback
We use Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that doesn't use cookies or track you across other sites, to count page views and anonymous events such as "teams generated". It helps us see which features get used.
The feedback button opens a Tally form. Anything you submit there is stored by Tally and only used to improve FairSide.
Who processes it
Data is stored and processed by the services that run the app: Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Clerk (sign-in), Umami (analytics) and Tally (feedback). We don't sell or share your data with anyone else.
Contact
We may occasionally email you about FairSide itself, for example to ask for feedback or tell you about a major change. Reply and ask, and we won't email you again.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and everything in it. Email asamshan456@gmail.com and it'll be handled within 30 days. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
