How it works

  1. Paste your list. Copy it straight from WhatsApp. Numbers and ticks are ignored, "(GK)" marks a keeper, and anyone under "Reserves" is left unticked until someone drops out.
  2. Rate your players. Give each player 1 to 5 stars, or switch to Smart mode to add positions and stats.
  3. Share the teams. One tap sends a picture of both line-ups to the group, so everyone knows their side before kick-off.

What makes the teams fair

FairSide looks for the split where both sides are as evenly matched as possible, and shows you how fair it is as a percentage. A few rules keep it sensible:

  • At most one goalkeeper per side. A spare keeper plays outfield.
  • Keep mates together, or put two rivals on opposite sides.
  • Not quite right? Reshuffle, or tap two players to swap them.
  • Pick a formation for each side, such as 2-1-1 or 2-2.

Questions

What if more than ten turn up?

Both sides get five starters and the rest go on the bench as subs, so you can still balance with eleven or twelve.

Do I need to sign up?

No. Signing in lets you save your squad, so next week your players and their ratings are already there and last week's line-up is ticked.

Does it work for 6, 7 or 11-a-side?

Yes. Pick the format first: anything from 3-a-side to 11-a-side.
